woohooo, it's a fabulous day!

Our September stamps are released today - YAY!!
Please meet:

Halloweenies
Perpetual Bliss
Sunny Side Up

Halloweenies set consists of extra-quirky images.  I literally cracked myself up when I drew their expressions.

I LOVE vintage, but I also love cute, so I made Perpetual Bliss with a whole lot of both!  I thought of fun images that I am not seeing everywhere.  We like to give you a range of unique images and sentiments to create with

Sunny Side Up is a builder set that is full of sunshine and other totally happy images...ohhhh, the possibilities friends :)

You have ONE MORE WEEK to participate in our SPARKS Challenge.  Deadline is Sept. 7.

Our release day also falls on the first Thursday of the month, which means that it's guest designer search time.  (huge grin)

Here are the details:

Guest Designers will receive 2 NEW stamp sets and 2 shaped card templates and will have their name and projects featured here on the PS blog for 3-4 weeks (depending on how many weeks there are in the month).

You will have approx. two weeks to show us your talent!  You can submit as many projects as you like and past submissions are welcome.  Guest designers are not chosen randomly.  We will be looking for designers who stand out in one (or more) of the following categories:
  • great use of color
  • outstanding design
  • mad coloring skills
  • fun paper piecing
  • pure cleverness
You will need to use a Paper Smooches stamp or any of our FREE digi stamps.  A new digi image and sentiment were added to the PS web site last night.  You can find it HERE.  Past digi images and sentiments were moved to a tab at the top of this blog

Add a direct link to your project using the Inlinkz system below.

The deadline is Wednesday, September 14.  Our September guest designer will be announced on Thursday, September 15.

Our FREE August digi stamp and sentiment are now available.  Here is my sample:

I drew the cherry blossom (at least that's what I think it is) and copied and pasted it to create a cluster.  I can never have enough "thanks" sentiments, so I decided to make a generic digi this month.  Enjoy :)

Pep Rally week ends here

Because our release day is tomorrow...woooohooooo

Teri knocked this stamp set out of the park!  She was dabbling in some "Perpetual Bliss" and made this really fun and playful card using our telephone, notes and sentiment.  She paper pieced the phone bases and chose a super fresh color combo!

This is one little teaser before our release.  Thank you for being here with us!

Pep Rally Day 4

Laurie created this darling card using "Frankie" from Halloweenies.  That's just dang fun to say, LOL :)

Her sentiment is heat embossed with black, can you tell?  Super fabulous coloring and awesome design - great job Laurie!   Ohhhh how I wish I could tie a bow that perfect - sigh

I am thrilled that Karolyn is joining us this month.  Her style is wonnnnnderful.  It's playful and fresh and I am looking forward to sharing her creations with all of you.

Let's start by swooning over that polka dotted moon...and move onto her sweet little die cut fence.  A gingham pumpkin - be still my heart!  She nails this card with such a super cute sentiment.  awesome card in every way!

Helllllo Monday!

Pap Rally week - Day three :)

Kryssi has a way with gorgeous colors.  That bright sun makes my day brighter, for sure.  I think she airbrushed her background....all I know is that it's FABULOUS!!  She added a flight path with a black pen, very cool!

Heidi
How fun that both girls used white on teal!  I LOVE those soft clouds...and her kite is TDF (to die for)

Hope your weekend was wonderful - and that you have a fabulous week!

Pep Rally Day TWO

Yesterday you had your first taste of our "Sunny Side Up" stamp set.  Well, how about a big whopper of a peek today?  I used the clouds, smile and sentiment to make this "odd" card.  I have to say that it didn't quite turn out like I had envisioned, but I embraced the end result and here it is.  It's supposed to be a sun among a rainbow.

Here are some more examples of what can be created with just this ONE stamp set.

Please keep in mind that I used a brand spankin' new - JUICY black ink pad

soooo there's

wind, kites with 2 bow options, rain drops/tear drops, a paper airplane, umbrella, smiley face.

There's an open circle that can be used for:
Sun - the triangle rays are separate (one is solid and the other is open) - ok, so the pumpkin idea didn't work, but I think it would have if I used the open triangle instead.  I used the rain drop for piggy tails for the crying little girl.  You can make silly faces

The raindrop becomes a butterfly, flowers and clovers.  The smile can become a leaf

This is probably going to be one of those stamp sets that I am going to see amazing creativity with from all of you amazing designers.  I truly look forward to it!

Did I convince you that you NEED this set?

rounding out the week...

I am here today to share some ideas of how to use our Sugar Rush stamp set.

I used a new ink pad, so my lines may be a bit "juicy", I apologize :)
  • sooo, we have a cake pop with a candy (glittered) topping that can also be a caramel apple
  • popsicles (any flavor) do you remember Pudding Pops?....yummmmy
  • a pattern
  • a donut "as is" and one with a candle.  Notice that I masked the top of the donut to add the candle.  k, so that is a weird word, gotta say...is it spelled like doughnut?  I would want to say Doug-nut then...ack, I am not liking that word, LOL (I am over it, onto the next image)  I added two eyes to the chocolate (or maple iced) donut with a black pen
  • gum drops (the green one is glittered)
  • cansy corn
  • hard candy
  • cupcakes with different sprinkles
  • drink glasses, one with Coke and the other with Mountain Dew
  • Fruit Loops, gummy rings, lifesavers

I just have a simple card to share today.  I combined our Fruitastic stamp set with Alphadot

have a terrific weekend sweet friends!

The PS Patrol

woohoooo, here we are again on the second Thursday, showing off some Paper Smooches projects that found while patroling the net!  Post your projects on your blog, Facebook, and our Fan Flickr page for a chance to be showcased here!

Samantha Taylor
I love baker's twine and I just adore what Samantha did with hers.  It adds such wonderful texture!!  She used this month's FREE digis.

Cassie Trask
k, so clowns typically creep me out, but this one I can handle.  How funny that Cassie transformed our little monster into a clown, hehe.  I wanna kiss those lips!  Did you notice that she used the puff of smoke from our Spiffy Scooters stamp set?

Karin Akesdotter
O-M-Geee, how silly is this?  If you venture over to Karin's blog, you will so many fun and quirky cards using our stamps.  She places our images in places that they just don't belong - which I LOVE!  Serioulsy, are you NOT chucking right now???

Donna Bowman
Ahhhh, I am drooling over all of these wonderful patterns!  She was inspired by one of Cath's Tuesday Trigger Inspiration pieces from Moxie Fab World and I think she rocked it!  Our Pretty Phrases completes this card perfectly.

Joy Taylor
Oh, I just love the soft colors that Joy chose.  Her paper choices are divine.  What a great card for a man or woman...what wonderful simplicity, great job!

Thank you for sharing your talent with us!  It's a pleasure to show off your talent!  You make it harder and harder every month.

You could be next.  Show off those PS cards and we may find yours too!

Hey friends!

I hope you are having a nice week so far :)  Thank you for stopping by.

I am not sure if this technique has a name, but Teri stamped the kangaroo and then stamped her 2 more times with the same ink as the first image, making each image lighter and giving the look of movement.  She used crayons to color which gives her card a softened look.  Her sentiment treatment is fabulous!

Check out this totally playful card by Alison - A polka dotted pink frog - what a crack up!  I love that frayed grass!!  She curved the dotted line to make bounces and added texture to the clouds with more polka dots.  VERY clever card!

This card is wicked cool.  Does the flower make you think of camouflage?  She colored the bananas from Fruitastic to make a large scalloped border.  The flower petals are form the lemon stamp and the center is the blueberry.  The flower pattern is made from an accent found on our Boob Tubes stamp set.

Have a fantastic day :)

Hope you have a....

Fruitastic kind of day!

Laurie used our peach and sentiment and made them look absolutely delicious!!  I wish I could color like her. This card could have easily been a Halloween theme card by making the peach a pumpkin and changing the sentiment.

ahhhh, where to begin?  Heather makes the most fabulous bows...and when she uses yellow, my heart melts.  She stamped, colored and cut all of those yummy strawberries...wow!  Don't you just love her woven basket?  Those pokey polka dots makes the perfect background!  Sweet card Heather :)

Enjoy your day!

I just can't take my eyes off this card.  The divine roses draws me in!  I think it's so neat that Heidi shows how easy it is to stamp on a circle.  I have to give that a try, I love the look!
