Wake Up!

It took me a while to wake up this morning...but I know that breakfast will make me "perk up", LOL

Hope our new "Wake Up" stamp set boosts your creativity.  I had a blast creating it!

This little guy can be a milk or juice carton...

Heather's card is adooooorable!!  The images come  without faces...but there are some options on the set...along with some arms and hands to make them "breakfast people" is you like.  The legs and feet are Heather's addition...I wanted to include them on the set, but I thought they might be too small as a stamp.

It's hard to believe that our release night is TOMORROW - woohoooo

Pep Rally week continues

Meet "Promenade"...

This set consists of fun things that you might see on a fun day of shopping.

Heidi used the mini bistro table image in such a beautiful way.   The umbrella is a separate piece from the table and the sentiment is from the set as well.  (still swooning over here)

Kryssi created this sweet little scene with a shop, topiaries, a bike and fire hydrant.  I love how she colored this scene...SUPER fun!!

Before I share another November stamp sneak peek, I thought I'd show you a ribbon "storage" idea.  I didn't make this up, I saw a friend do it and I loved the idea!  (plus it's a great way to recycle)

Use a paper towel roll and wrap ribbons around it.  Make them stay in place with pins.  I found some really cool tacks at Target!  Plus, it's a great way to straighten out ribbons that you buy on a card that gives ribbon creases.  Then I saw someone showcasing ribbon on clothes pins...I thought that they look so cute that way.  You can find our ribbons HERE

Are you ready for another sneak?

This set is called "My Guy"

I used the car and pennants.  The sentiments are on the set, but one of the stamps was masked.  It says "REEL great" for the fishing icons...but I removed the ink from the word 'reel" before stamping "great" next to "you're".  I stamped and cut around the sports car.  I also used one of our silver buckles as an accent.  The "frame" was drawn in with a black pen and ruler.

I used a stamp set called "Wake Up".  I don't want to give too much away - but it's a set that revolves around breakfast (grin)


I used 3 stamps from the set.  The toast, sentiment and "cinnamon - raisin swirl".  I colored the toast and heart with Copics.  I don't normally like raisins, but I do love cinnamon raisin toast with butter...yummm.  "This calls for a toast" is a celebratory sentiment that I hope you will find many uses for.

yay...it's Wednesday!

Time to show off some Teri and guest designer goodness...

You may remember this fabulous card from the October blog hop.  Isn't this such a 'cool" idea?  I love how she colored in the letters.  She used our MY PEEPS stamp set.

I haven't seen the "I care" sentiment used from our CHIT CHAT stamp set - I love how Emily put it to use, along with the sentiments from our HOPE stamp set.  The phone is from PERPETUAL BLISS.  Awesome - Awesome card Emily!

Christmas is slowly creeping up on us...what a great way to make such adorable tags!!  It's wonderful how Emily kept the design the same and just changed out images and patterns - fantastic set!!

we have some more

very delightful cards to share today using Hot Concoctions

Heather's card is totally amazing!  First off, she stamped the pink paper with the flower stamp, then she glittered the paper (yummm), then she created the most delicious pleats with ribbon and we aren't even at the best part!  This little "couple" is ADORABLE!!!

This card is just ST pretty!  I love the color combo...Laurie softened up the feel with white ribbon, vellum and a delicate flower.  I love how she added the shadow and glittered the whipped cream.   VERY classy and elegant!

many thanks...

I think it's wonderful that designers have taken to our "thanks" sentiment.  I am seeing it used more than the other words on our "Chit Chat" stamp set.  Its just plain fun, I suppose :)

Heidi's cute card takes me back to my "Rainbow Bright childhood days"  Nope, I didn't have the doll, but I think  remember having a rainbow Care Bear.  Isn't it cool how she colored the letters?

Kryssi has a knack for color Pop!  Her card is sweet simplicity and I absolutely LOVE it!!

Hey friends!

I hope you have enjoyed your week.

We announced our guest designer for November yesterday.  When I spoke with Melania, she informed me that it can take up to a month to receive mail in her country (yikes).  I thought it was best to ask her to design for us in December since shipping times would make it hard to commit to deadlines.  She accepted :) So you will see her delightful creations, starting on December 7th.

This of course means that we need a November guest designer.  We proudly asked Audrey Tokach to be our guest and she gladly accepted.  Please congratulate Audrey.  This is her card hat caught our eye:

Since our guest spots are filled through December, we will hold off on the next call in November and begin again on December 1st to choose our January guest.  Please keep an eye out.

They are great for Birthday goodie bags but also for thoughtful "somethings" at any time of the year.  Teacher's gifts, neighbors, "thank you's", the possibilities are endless.  The white paper is flat and not coated, so you can stamp directly onto the sack or cover them with paper.  You can add paper or ribbon handles or fold them over and tie a bow through 2 punched holes.  Here are some samples that cover our next three holidays:

Tonight...

is the deadline for our current SPARKS challenge.  We would love for you to play along.  Our next challenge starts on Thursday - wait until you see what our team has created - I am sure that you will be inspired (I know I am)

Teri used our Chit Chat sentiment stamps in such a clever way.  She added the image to her patterned papers and again for her main sentiment.  The way she overlapped "so much" over "thanks" is exactly how I envisioned those 2 stamps be used together.  Of course they work great separately, but it was fun to see that she thought along the same lines as I had.

Check this super adorable and silly card!!  Emily combined the squirrel from Hang Ups with our Halloweenies stamp set.  The cauldron is a cup from Hot Concoctions.  She even gave him a seat that she stamped with the electrical poles - WAY clever card!

Emily combined My Peeps with our Swanky Snowdudes stamp sets.  The scarf and hat were added to give them a frosty look and she combined sentiment too...eeeek!  She replaced "greet" with "tweet"

Hope you like "My Peeps"

Omgoodness this card is freaking CUTE!  Heather stamped the sun and it's rays perfectly.  This card reminds me of Miami Vice (do you remember that show?)  The "pilgrim" hat look very cool as a beach hat (never would have thought of that)

Let's go from the beach to the cold :) 
Laurie's penguin card is adoooooorable!  I love the pop of color against the b/w (great design)

Coffee or tea?

...or are you a soda drinker?  I love coffee....soda sometimes and barely in my whole life...tea.  My favorites are white chocolate mocha and vanilla hazelnut - ohhhh and eggnog when it's in season...yummm

I have a couple of "hot little concoctiions" to share with you today, created by Kryssi and Heidi - delish!

First of all, I adore her color choices, so fresh!  Stacking the cups is pure eye candy (the star sprinkle is wonnnnnderful)  :)

I assume that Heidi used chalk ink for those solid coffee beans...boy, does it look FABULOUS!!  It looks like she masked the sides with a paper strip - I love the effect!   The colors she chose I reach for more than I should...I am partial, I admit :)  Great card!

The many perks...

of neutral ribbons :)

We added some neutral ribbon to our store - did you see?  They are timeless and just plain fun to create with!  Here are some cool things that you can do with twill:

 

And some fabulous things you can do with our white grosrrain:

 

Remember that when using Copic markers...the color changes with the different ribbons:

Please take note that Copics will bleed a bit on the grosgrain ribbon, but works beautifully with twill.  The white grosgrain ribbon stiffens when you color them with Copics - cool, but weird!  All types of ink worked with these ribbons.

If your ribbons are wrinkled...use a flat iron or regular iron to flatten them out.

Adhere them with:

• vellum tape
• tape runner
• machine stitching
• staples
• brads
• tape them around the back of your card
• fabric glue

Our ribbon buckles work great with our ribbon:

And here is a card using our grosgrain ribbon :)

I used Copics to color the rainbow.  You can get the streaks by allowing one layer to dry, and then adding another color layer.

I hope that you will look at your ribbons a little differently.  Stamp on them like nobody's business!  :)

What an absolute CRACK-UP!  Emily is back with us this week, sharing two super clever cards.

You all know the nursery rhyme that ends...and the dish ran away with the spoon.  She made a "dish" with the solid oval stamp from Hot Concoctions stamp set (wow).  His hands were "borrowed" from the squirrel from Hang Ups stamp set.  The sentiments are from Chit Chat

Just in time for Thanksgiving here in the US.  Check out the chick that easily became a turkey with some beautiful coloring and a pilgrim hat - SO CUTE!!

I am diggin' this group of chicks hangin' out!  How fun is this???  It looks like they are having quite the gab session, LOL

Swimming for Katie Blog Hop & Fundraiser

From October 10-12, stampers are joining together to support and encourage our friend and fellow stamper, Katie Renz, who is currently battling inoperable gastric cancer.  If you're not familiar with her, Katie’s cancer story started just before Christmas last year.  This young, beautiful, healthy, vibrant mother of 3 with her infectious smile was suddenly diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, virtually overnight.  A few tummy aches and then stage 4 gastric cancer.  Her first post about it is here.  The idea of “Swimming for Katie” came from her recent post here.
