Tonight is THE night

...at 10:00pm Mountain time...we release our December stamp sets - woohoooo

Here's another cute sample using Chubby Chum Pals.  Teri also used the kite from Sunny Side Up and sentiments from the new Word Salad stamp set.  Such a darling card!!

I am off to get prepared for our release...I hope to pop back in later with some fun things we have been up to :)

We are excited to start carrying Baker's twine on Dec. 1st.  We will offer 8 individual colors and a multi pack.  All priced to sell!  I know that so many of you have twine in your collection, but I "think" that ours is a bit different.  It's the same wonderful quality as the twine that I use to wrap orders.

AND we are offering a special promotion!!  We hope that you have lots of PS stamps on your wish list, so we are hoping that you will send your loved ones to our store to pick up some of those items on your list!  I designed a super fun stamp set to give away for FREE - This stamp set is included with all orders totally $50. or more that are placed between Dec. 1-31.  This is a 3 x 4 stamp set and retails for $7.99.

and...here it is:

It's called "Gently Seasoned".  I designed it with all 4 seasons in mind...it's such a fun set to stamp with!  I hope you are as excited about it as I am :)

You color my world...

It's a super fun sentiment, isn't it?  Don't you just LOVE color???  It's a great sentiment to have in your collection - for sure :)

It's amazing at how often Laurie and Heather use the same sentiment from a featured set...check these out!

Ahhhh, those lollis look good enough to eat off the paper!  Laurie's coloring is divine!!

...and Heather's card is pure-simple-perfection!!

Our current SPARKS challenge ends tomorrow.  I hope you play along with us :)
Thank you so much for stopping by

Balloons

...aren't they super fun???
They bring a smile to my face :)
"Smoocheroos" has 3 balloons in the set - they spell out "I heart U", but you an use them in different ways (they are not attached to each other)

Kryssi used the balloons to give the fox a way to express herself...the "LOVE" word in the background is another NEW stamp.  It's found on our "Word Salad" stamp set.  Wicked CUTE card!!

Heidi decided to give her monkey a lift with the balloons.  I love how she created the sky with our cloud stamps from "Sunny Side Up".  Clean and oh so delish!!

Both SMOOCHEROOS and WORD SALAD stamp sets will release on Dec. 1st - can't wait for you to see the whole sets!!

Have an awesome week friends :)

Hello talented friends!

Thanks for joining in on our blog hop yesterday...there's still plenty of time to comment for your chance to win one of the NEW December stamp sets - wohoooo!

We have an announcement to make.

Heather has been going through some health issues and the recovery process has taken a toll on her creativity.  Since she can't foresee how she will feel in the upcoming year, she thought it was best to step down from our team to concentrate on getting better.  Heather was wonderful to work with and we will miss her sooo much!!  She will always be a part of our PS family and I feel fortunate to call her my friend.  I wish her the best.

This leaves an opening on our team.  Yes, this means that we have ONE spot to fill.  Oh’ how I wish I could add 10 designers to our team, but 5 is the perfect number for us at this time.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented designer who loves Paper Smooches stamps!

4. Our new designer will be contacted on December 15th and announced on December 16
5. Term:  December 16, 2011 through June 16, 2012

2. Address
3. E-mail address

6. Attach THREE projects using Paper Smooches stamps (use of other stamps is acceptable, but we would love to see how you use our stamps)

We have a great appreciation for our designers and we hope you consider trying out for our team.  We are looking forward to seeing your talent!

...now onto another December sneak peek  :)

This crazy crab is from our new Chubby Chum Pals stamp set....of course the coordinating sentiment is included too (grin)...and the disguise is an addition to the crab.  I stamped it over his face and paper pieced the nose.  The scalloped edge was doodled.

Here are some other add-ons that are included with this quirky set:

The eyes are spaced just right on the Chubby Chum Pals set, but there are other Paper Smooches images that they will work well for as well.  The hats work great with many PS images!

Have a wonderful weekend friends!
big hugs,
Kim

November Paper Smooches DT blog hop!

I am sure that you know by now that our blog hops fall on the last Thursday of every month.  As luck would have it, it fell on Thanksgiving.  What a wonderful way for us to say "we are so thankful for you"

It's Pep Rally week and we are here today to share a sampling of the Paper Smooches December stamp release with you!  The three NEW clear stamp sets will be available to purchase on December 1st.  You will find them HERE.  Follow the Paper Smooches blog for more sneak peeks.

To add extra fun to our blog hop...we are offering up a prize!  Just leave a comment on any of the five design team blogs listed below for your chance to win one of the three new December stamp sets!  (you do not need to comment on all blogs to qualify)  You have until midnight MT on Friday, November 25th to leave a comment.  Please check all five blogs on Saturday, November 26th to see if you are one of the five lucky winners.
To increase your chances of winning:

1. Leave a comment on this blog post

2. Tell us that you Facebooked about our blog hop

3. Tell us that you Tweeted about our hop

4. Tell us that you posted on your blog about our blog hop

(which means that you have up to four chances to win on each blog)

I used a bird image form our NEW Chubby Chum Pals stamp set.  The pilgrim hat and turkey feathers are from our "My Peeps" stamp set...and the sentiment is from Chit Chat.  Chubby Chums has been one of our best sellers...so we thought it would be fun to offer even more "chums" to add to your collection...and the set comes with "extras" that work with all of the chums.

This silly monkey is found on our NEW Smoocheroo stamp set.  His hand gesture says "I love you".  I hung him from the sentiment from Hang Ups stamp set.  This set is filled with "love" hinthint :)

To those of you who are celebrating Thanksgiving today...Happy Thanksgiving!!

I hope you get stuffed!
xx

Hola

I have some super cute cards to share with you...

Teri created this sweet little scene with our Wake Up stamp set.  I am guessing this could be a baby announcement...maybe triplets?  Or it's a Mom and Dad having a baby girl.  I dunno for sure, but it sure is a fun card!

And here's another card using our Wake Up stamp set...the flowers are eggs!!  Isn't Audrey so clever???  What a fun and HAPPY card!!

Check out this amazing four seasons card...eeeek, it's so cool!  The tree is from our Promenade set and the sentiment is from Word Up

Sadly, this is the last week that Audrey is our guest designer (pout).  She has been beyond wonderful to work with.  It has been a real pleasure Audrey :)

hugs,
Kim

You're an all star!

I love seeing two completely different cards using the same exact sentiment!

OMG - I LOVE the background that Heather created with the solid star stamp.  This is the perfect card that shows how our MY GUY stamp set can also be very "girly" (check that flirty ribbon).  I think Heather rocks the color-on-color look - I LOVE it!!

Laurie created this very cool card using the football - wow...what fabulous masking!!  I think the neutral colors look great!  Really...this is pure eye candy to me :)

Our PS DT Blog Hop is scheduled for this Thursday.  I hope that you will have a chance on your holiday to pop in to say "hello"

hugs,
Kim

I have always admired these talented ladies and I can't wait to see what they created for today.

Both gals have one Forest Whimsy stamp set to give away on their blogs.  You will have to go visit them to find out the details.

I have a stamp set to give away here as well - YAY!!  You have until midnight on November 20th to leave a comment.  I will post the winner on Monday, November 21st.

I thought it might be fun to make a card showing only a portion of the gnome...it's kinda silly :)  I made faux stitches with a black pen.

Hope your weekend is wonderful

This set is :::adorable!!!::: I would love to win it - I have such a crush on that gnome!

My one child (a girl) is all grown up and off at college, but she still likes it when I send her cards, so I'm going to say - MORE GIRL STAMPS!!
Congrats!!  Please send me an e-mail at info@papersmoochesstamps and let me know your address Wendy - Forest Whimsy is yours :)

Today's card showcases our My Guy stamp set.  Teri used it beautifully!  I love those pennants!!!  How cool that she let the hearts run off the edges - there are no rules when designing cards, always remember that.  Just play and have fun like Teri does :)

Audrey is back with us today sharing 2 darling cards!  Just look at all the stamps she packed onto this amazing card!  I see stamps from Hope (sneaker), FOLKal Points (stitches), Hang Ups (star), and Sentiment Sampler (way to go)...all added to My Guy stamp set (solid star, football, baseball bat, baseball, you're an all star.  seriously friends - WOW!

...and of course Audrey's second card is a stunner as well.  I just adore this sweet scene (huge grin)

Of course I have another Forest Whimsy stamp set to give away today.

The first person who guesses the time I went to bed last night wins.  I planned ahead, so I wrote it down.  If no one guesses exactly, I will choose the person who is closest.  You have until midnight tonight to make a guess  :)

Congrats Jen W.!  My daughter scanned the list of comments and stopped on yours...maybe she liked the word "whoop" :)

Please e-mail your address to info@papersmoochesstamps.com and I will mail Forest Whimsy as soon as I can

Introducing...

Forest Whimsy

I "transplanted" the tree stump and snail from my former "Summer Trees" stamp set and added a couple of whimsical flowers to fill the spaces.  Each and every line was fine-tuned and they stamp beautifully!

Laurie and Heather created gorgeous cards using Promenade today

Laurie's card is divine!  I love the rich colors, her design and that freaking gorgeous BOW!!  The dots add such a pretty touch to the border :)

Ahhhh, how pretty and flirty is this???  Those glitter stripes are just dreamy!  I am LOVING how she created movement by stamping off the ink...wow :)

Would you like another shot at winning Forest Whimsy?

ok :)

I have chosen the release order for many "former Kim Hughes Collection stamps", but I am curious if you have more of a need for little girl or little boy stamps?  Simply post your preference here and I will choose one winner.

Remember...the deadline for the current SPARKS Challenge is TOMORROW night.  The details are HERE

Wednesday is also the deadline to post your holiday cards on THIS POST to win Santa Paws stamp set

Thanks for stopping by :)

EEEEEK!!

Hello friends.  It's time...

When I stopped Illustrating for Cornish Heritage Farms, I felt like I was leaving a child behind.  I couldn't foresee the future of my art...and that was hard for me.  When CHF closed their doors, I contacted them to see if I could somehow retain the rights to my images.  Not knowing the fate of my art was scary for me (especially with my name attached to the collection).  I was able to purchase all of the rights and get my "babies" back again.  Oh' happy day!!  I would have loved to release them sooner, but unfortunately, I didn't feel that the quality they once were is good enough for me now.  I stand behind my clear stamps 100% and it's imperative that I put some extra time into each image to make them into a product that I am completely proud of.

The former "Kim Hughes Collection" will become "The Kismet Collection".  "Kismet" meaning fate or destiny seems appropriate since I feel that meeting CHF was meant to happen for me...it was the beginning of my Illustrating career and I will be eternally grateful for the opportunity they have given to me.

ONE new Kismet Collection stamp set will release on the 15th day of EVERY month (woohooo)

The first set that I chose to start with was called Forest Friendzy...it is now called "Forest Whimsy" and I cannot wait for you to see it tonight!

All of the stamp set names will be changed since they will no longer be the same as they one were...

1.  They will have cleaner lines
2.  They are being released in the best clear photopolymer on the market
3.  Since our stamps are 4 x 6, so not all images fit onto our set, so not all images will make it into production.
4.  The sizes of the original images will most likely remain exactly the same
5.  Each and every image and sentiment will be "tweaked" so that they look the best they possibly can.  I am giving them all a "face lift" to modernize them.
6. In some cases, I will combine images from multiple sets that fit within the theme

Forest Whimsy is available tonight at midnight EST on Nov. 15th.

I have some stamp sets to give away all week between our blog and Facebook page.  I will choose one winner who comments on this post...and post a winner tomorrow.  Pleas tell us what you think about this news.  Do you have any questions for us?

We have some fabulous cards using Wake Up today
Kryssi made this very cool/graphic card with splashes on red.  What a great way to showcase so many images.

Hoe fun is this sweet little scene???  It makes me want eggs and bacon, I can tell ya that!  I love that die cut (or punched) plate!!

Thank you sooooosooooo much for your continued support.  We "heart" you!!
(smooches)

Psssst...The entire Forest Whimsy stamp set can be seen on our newsletter...I JUST sent it (wink)

Fruits and Veggies...

I am not a big veggie fan - wish I was.  But they are super fun to color!  I masked every image...it was time consuming and I used up a couple of brain cells...but it was worth it :)  I mixed images Fruitastic and Vegtastic together.

Use your markers to add a pop of color to your sentiment.  This is a simple card that packs a punch!!  "Thanks" is from our Chit Chat stamp set

I will leave you with a short and sweet post for today.  I always enjoy reading your kind comments - thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The PS Patrol

Hello friends! On the second Thursday of every month, we search the web for outstanding projects - then we showcase FIVE talented designers with projects that wowed us.  The patrol is sent out to find super-fabulous projects using our stamps and templates!  Facebook, our Fan Flickr page and personal blogs are our favorite places to look.  Feast your eyes on what we found...

Anelique Kelly
Ummmm, what's not to love here?  Let me point out what I LOVE - the colors, the pop of color on kraft, those silly balloons and her fantastic coloring...swoooon!

Christa Halbesma
Christa's card is just soooooo pretty!  I adore the button border and how she colored in the loops in the lettering.  That zig zag edge really tops off this sweet card.

Elena Roussakis
ohhhh, I adore this color combo.  I think it's awesome how she used opposite colors on the color wheel and made it word beautifully. The machine sewing adds perfect texture...love that doily mat.  sigh - I adore this darling creation.

Kim Costello
Totally retro-cool.  I dig the patterns and ruggedness of Kim's card.  Her funky road and flowers makes me grin :)  (and did I mention how amazing her coloring skills are...wow)

Nichol Magourik
I am so happy to see the stamped microphone (I haven't seen it used a ton) I never thought about hanging it from the ceiling...brilliant!  I adore the different colored music notes...it really ties in the patterned papers.  Those googly eyes really add to the super funness of Nichole's card.

You could be next.  Show off those PS cards on the web and we may want to feature yours too!
Thanks a ton for sharing your incredible talent with us - we "heart' you!

What an amazing scene this is.  I love the the power poles...the colors that Teri chose and the shading.  GREAT card!!

Audrey is back with us this week (yay)
Here's another scene to drool over.  She stamped everything from the waves to the fish...the clouds and cute monster.  Seriously, aren't stamps wonderful!

and c'mon....isn't this just the CUTEST little peacock!  I'd love to know the tune he is listening to while cruising in his sports car...or SHE...of course :)

I will be back tomorrow with FIVE super fantastic PS cards...you won't want to miss them :)

SPARKS...

are you playing along with our challenges?  Here are the details

I think it's cool to see the same concept presented in two completely different styles

Heather's card is FUN and CUTE because of the flirty ribbon, the bold color and those googly eyes add the perfect "cute" touch.

And Laurie's card is SHABBY chic because of the softness of her card...the wood and twill textures and the touch of glitter.

Both cards are amazing!!

What style are you drawn to?
  • Fun and Cute
  • Clean and Graphic
  • Classy and Elegant
  • Shabby and Vintage

hope you had...

a wonderful weekend.  I had a ball drawing and coming up with new ideas for Paper Smooches.  I am always full of excitement to share what I have been up to.  Until then, please enjoy these fabulous cards by Heidi and Kryssi :)

When I drew the fishing pole, I had no idea that it would work so nicely with a circle.  Yay for luck!  :)  Heidi's simple design really shows off the images and sentiment - love that!

WOW - what an awesome shade of green!   This medallion makes me swooooon.  What a super fabulous card this is (grin)

Happy Monday friends!

a mini tutorial...

of what you can create with our new Wake Up stamp set...

The milk carton can stay white or change to strawberry, chocolate or orange juice

The jam jar can also be used for honey.  I drew lines to make a plaid pattern

The toast fits in the toaster slot perfectly

There is a pat of butter and cinnamon/raison swirl to create with.

You can add "Glassy Accents" to add shine to the butter or egg

Add "jelly" to the toast...or maybe you could create a peanut butter and jelly card?
----------------------------------------------------------
ok...so maybe the hand is a little large for the bacon, but it's just funny!  All images were stamped onto white card stock and colored with Copics.

Don't forget to comment over at the Moxie Fab World blog for your chance to win FIVE of Cath's favorite Paper Smooches stamp sets.  You have until Sunday to comment.

Enjoy your weekend friends

is now available HERE

Want a chance to win FIVE Paper Smooches stamps???  We are being featured over at the fabulous Moxie Fab World Blog.  Comment there for your chance to WIN!!

Our NEW SPARKS Challenge started today - CHECK IT

As I mentioned last month...we will not have a guest designer search in November (for a December guest) because  Melania will be our guest in December.  I spoke about it HERE.

So, instead of having our guest designer search, how about something else that could be fun?  With Christmas peeking around the corner...I am sure that many of you are making Christmas cards.  I'd love to see what you are up to...so I'd love it if you would share your holiday cards with us.  Post a link here...and I will choose TWO random people to win Santa Paws!  (If you already have Santa Paws...I am happy to switch it out for something else).  You have until Wednesday, Nov. 16th and I will post the winners on the following Thursday.

Here is my sample using the new FREE digi stamp!

I gave my card a Christmasy look...but it can easily be used for a Birthday card as well.  Any gift giving time really :)  I punched out the circles in the sticker scalloped border to add interest.  I used Copics to color my images and sentiment.

I will be back tomorrow with some samples of how to get the most of your Wake Up stamp set
hugs!

What a wonderful...

response to our newest stamps - thank you :)

We are as excited as you are.  Here are some more fantastic samples using the November stamps.  Audrey Tokach joins us this month - yay, you are in for a treat!

Check out this adorable little couple that Audrey created - how FUN!!  She used the sentiment from Boob tubes and the swirls from Hot Concoctions.  The toast is from Wake Up and the lips/mustache are from Swanky Snowdudes.  Clever girl!

This sis such a cooooool card!  I LOVE the bold teal!  She used the TIE from My Guy and created a flower accent.  It's fabulous!!  The sentiment is from Chit Chat.  Audrey's month is off to a GREAT start!

Teri's card is just awesome!  Love the mix of sports images. She combined 3 sentiments from our new My Guy set.  She used EIGHT stamps from the set - WOW!

Our newest FREE digital stamp will be released tomorrow - see you then :)
