Hola Amigos!

I am back from vacation.  It felt so good to get away, but I am so happy to be home.  I missed my family like mad (and that includes you)

It's Monday - yay...a whole new week to play with.  (but that also means that I have a list that's 2.5 miles long)  And today is also a release day...my favorite day of each month.  Tonight at midnight (eastern time) we release our newest stamp sets.  Look for Hubby and Wifey, Circle of Honor and Alfresco

Check out this fabulous wedding card - yup Kryssi rocks wedding!!

This takes me back to my wedding last year.  Our colors were yellow, black, grey and a touch of sea foam...ahhh, what a beautiful day.  This card is simply gorgeous!!!  Did you notice that she stamped the open flower in the background.  yeah, wow!

and here's another amazing little creation stamped by Heidi.  She created this super unique wedding cake - yeah - swoon worthy for sure.  She used the stem from the champagne glass as pilars - wow!

I am off to tackle that list.  I will chat more tomorrow.
Thanks so much for stopping by friends

Time for another sneak peek

I have a card that showcases product from our wedding kit and our new "Hubby and Wifey" stamp set.  No, these are NOT pet names in my life, just a silly title for a wedding couple.  I am a sweetie, sweetheart, honey kinda girl :)

You can find all of our kits HERE - and this is where you will find our wedding kit on May 1st.
Our most popular kits are the travel and zoo theme.

I admit that there is quite a potpourri of product slapped on here...I truly struggle with wedding cards.  Dunno why...never feel good about them :)  I won't feel bad if no one leaves a comment...we can't love all of our cards, right?

Kryssi's and Heidi's cards for Monday showcase this set - I am sure they will rock it!  I will share this entire set with you on the eve of the first which is just a few short days away (woohoooo)

I created a card that uses our new set called "Circle of Honor".  I'd bet that many of you have a loved one who is or was involved with the military.  My Grandfather, Dad, brother, uncles, nephews and even my ex-husband all served in the army and I am so proud of them.  A portion of the proceeds sold from this set will be donated to Operation Write Home.  I think it's a wonderful cause.

This set not only works perfectly for the military, but also for the Fourth of July holiday and a "hero" in general.  I feel that all countries will be able to connect with this special stamp set.

There is a particularly fun bird included with this set...not sure if Teri is going to show a card using it today...we'll see ;)

Thanks so much for playing along with our hop...we LOVE that you are here!
super HUGE hugs,

Here are some fantastic

cards using a mixture of our stamps>  Kimberly has wowed us again :)

She was inspired by the embossing folder, so she stamped the circle behind her coconut image with Potpourri.  That stinkin' cute coconut is FLOCKED - eeeeek, how fun!!  The coconut and sentiment are form our Get Outta Town stamp set.

and how gorgeous is this????  Her coloring is swoon-worthy for sure.  The sentiments are a mixture from Pretty Momma and Simply Said.  It's been a pleasure working with Kimberly this month...I am amazed by her talent ;)

and Teri's card was created purely with Pretty Momma - said in my best southern accent :)  ...and it's absolutely gorgeous!

We are sponsoring the fabulous designers over at SIMON SAYS STAMP this week - The challenge is an easy one...and there is a fabulous prize...just sayin'...so you may just want to play along. (nudge)  I know I would be if I wasn't on vaca.

Since I am "Outta Town"...

I'd love to share some amazing cards using our "Get Outta Town" set.  This set wasn't too far away from the sales of Simply Said.  I think that's really cool.  You must all like the "travel" theme.

Yesterday we had "fun and cute" and "soft and pretty" styles...today we have "shabby/vinitage" and a bit of "clean and graphic".  I love seeing all styles used with our stamps (grin)

Laurie's card is totally masculine, but she dolled it up with that gorgeous rose.  Stunning card!!

Emily's card is so much fun!  Vintage-HIP comes to mind.  How cool that she incorporated Pretty Momma, Vogue Abode and He Said, She Said stamp sets into her cool design.  just WOW!

Hello Monday!

Fun and cute meets soft and pretty.

Simply Said has sentiments that can be used for sooo many occasions.

We have already blown through these sets (a LARGE number of them).  I ran out of stock quickly...but a fresh supply is arriving today.  I am so excited to see this...looks like you all LOVE this set - yay!!

Check out this super-adorable card that Heidi created.  Her vision was a hamster in a rolly-ball - CUTENESS!!!  The hamster is from Party Posse and she was able to fit the sentiment into a word bubble from He Said, She Said.  Awesome card!

Kryssi's card is perfect for wedding, birthday, promotion, baby...you name it.  I love the soft colors...she must have used chalk ink to achieve such a delicate look.  Our congratulations sentiment is HUGE - it's approx 3 1/2 x 3/4.

TONIGHT is the deadline to try out for our SPARKS DT - here are the details

Have a good one :)

On vacation...

My husband and I are going on a romantic vacation to Mexico....it's a first Anniversary/Birthday gift to both of us (his Birthday is eight days after mine) We leave on April 22 and arrive back home on April 28th.  I am leaving you in great hands while I am away.  I am confident that you will receive the same excellent customer service that you expect from Paper Smooches.  I will check my e-mails every day...so if you need me...please shout!

I have all blog posts prepped for next week.  You are in for a treat - especially since our design team blog hop is next week.  You will get to see the first peaks of our newest release on April 26th.  I am choosing the new SPARKS designers while I am away too - so keep an eye out for that announcement on April 25th

Our latest SPARKS Challenge winners are posted today - check them out

I have one humble little card so share today:

I used one of those inks pads that come attached to the same base (new to me).  While I like this card, I think it would have been better if there wasn't a space between the shades of blue.  I smacked my head when I found out - after I completed this card...that the inks push together (and close the gap between them) ack!!  Maybe I will recreate it someday :)  I used the Babe Block, Reflections and Sentiment Sampler.

Have a super fabulous week sweet friends

pre eye candy...

Check out these fabulous Simply Said cards

Teri combined the set with He Said, She Said - brilliant!!

And Kimberly Lane is with us today - yay...love her designs!  As if the flowers created from our solid heart  (from ouor Pretty Momma set) wasn't enough, she stitched around the sentiment.  I LOVE this card - eeeeeek!

Then Kimberly created this gorgeous wedding card...it packs a ton of punch!!

Thank you

so very much for all of the Birthday wishes.  I had such a fabulous day.  It seriously couldn't have been any better :)

Our current SPARKS challenge ends tomorrow.  So if you have some creative time coming up, please check to see if our challenge photo inspires you.  We have a design team call right now for a new SPARKS team.  The deadline is April 23...c'mon, give it a shot.

Silhouettes are timeless and so are cameos.  I have my Mom's cameo and I treasure it.  My cameo looks like a young mother, I think any ways :)  Emily and Laurie both create such lovely cards using her.

Emily combined the hibiscus from our Get Outta Town stamp set.  The mini banner is from our Hang Ups stamp set.  What a wonderful way to embellish an image.

I just adore the rich colors that Laurie chose.  This is such a gorgeous card!

I hope you all have a super-fantastic day.  Thanks for stopping by :)

Happy Birthday to me :)  I turn 41 today...yup.  I am good with that number, especially since I hope to live at least another 58 years.  99 sounds like a good age to aim for.  The best years of my life may lie ahead - definitely something to look forward to.

Great set, love those trees!

Please send along your address to info@papersmoochesstamps.com - congrats!!

Kryssi's card is so fresh and fun!  I am guessing that this could be a unique wedding cake, not sure, but it definitely seems wedding related to me.  Very cool card!!

Check out this amazing card base.  I wanna touch it!  Darling ocean scene and a perfect design.  Awesome card Heidi!!

Well, that's all for today friends.  I am going to get ready to shop with sweet friends today

Something special to share - and a giveaway

On April 15th, we will release our newest stamp set called "Spring Groves" and I'd love to show you a sneak peek!  This is the sixth stamp set from our "Kismet collection".

If you remember, I created a Spring Trees set along with Summer, Fall and Winter...you be sure that those sets will be "brought back to life" as well.   (yay...I can't wait to create with them again).  The bird came from the old "Pretty Birds" stamp set.  All images are the original size, but have been tweaked and improved.

I took the "graphic" route with my card this time.  I love card stock!  I thought it might be fun to color block the tree to add interest.  I stamped the tree onto the card base and all three card stock colors.  I think cut a strip form each, rounded the corners and added the papers over the card base.  It was really fun to create.  This was an afterthought, but the yellow button is the sun, the blue papers are the sky and the grey paper can be a bit of rain (perfect for springtime).

I have one "Spring Groves" stamp set to give away to one lucky person!  You have until midnight on April 15th to leave a comment.  I will post the winner here on Monday, April 16th.

For more peeks of this stamp set in action AND for more chances to win Spring Groves...please visit these ohhh soooo talented friends of mine:

Heidi Sonboul - http://queenofpaper.blogspot.com/
Lea Lawson - http://www.leascupcakesandsunshine.blogspot.com/

This new set goes live on our web site at midnight - eastern time on April 14th

Thanks for spending a piece of your day with us :)

The PS Patrol

...found some amazing little Paper Smooches gems this month :)  The patrol is sent out to find super-fabulous projects using our stamps and templates!  Facebook, our Fan Flickr page and personal blogs are our favorite places to look.  These cards really caught our eye!

This card makes me happy.  The colors are so pretty...her coloring and placement is perfection!

Heather Campbell
Ahhhhh, so fresh and beautiful.  I love the glitter.  What a gorgeous wedding card!
(Geo-graphic, Reflections, Simply Said)

Jenny Mullens
Here is clever Jenny...making something completely different from shapes that she found in our Reflections set.  I included an image of the set below so that you can see what she used to create this darling bunny.
(Alphadot, Reflections, A Little Lovin)

This card is just plain COOL!  Freaking cool actually :)  Nuff said

And Lori's card makes me go awwwwww.  Don't you just adore that little feathered noggin?  CUTENESS!

I hope that our little gallery of cards inspires you to create today :)

Get Outta Town!

Are any of you taking a vacation this year?  Care to share where?

Kimberly Lane is back with us again today to show off her Get Outta Town cards.  They are totally swoon worthy.

Check out this wonderful design.  I LOVE the rich colors and all of those patterns makes me so happy. The way she added her sentiment is awesome!!

She created the ocean waves with the "seagull" shape and did an amazing job lining it up.  I am in awe is this little creation.

Here is another super fun design.  Teri's card is such a cheerful card.  Love the stripes and circles - fabulous card!

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday  :o)

I am cropping with friends today.  I will be making card samples with our new Kismet stamp set for April.  I can't wait for you to see.  Will you be crafting up a storm too?

We are showcasing Pretty Momma today...and boy are these cards sooooo pretty!

I love how Heidi created a cameo with her die cut!  Gorgeous bow treatment and I just love all of the sweet touches.

May guest designer search...

begins today :)
I am so excited.  It's always one of the highlights of my month to see all of the amazing talent out there all in one place.

Our NEW SPARKS challenge was posted this morning.  Please take a look

We have some new digis to share today as well.  We are growing by leaps and bounds, so that means that I am needing to "let some things go" in order to have the time I need to get everything done in a day.  Can someone please someone invent a extra day?

ACK, I just noticed that I forgot to remind my husband to add the new digis to the web site last night...oopse.  I am so sorry...they will be posted this evening.

So after this month, I will not be creating new digis.  It simply takes too much time away from creating our stamp sets.  There are THIRTY to choose from now...and we feel that is a nice number of FREE digis.  I will update them here in this blog when I can.

I have also decided that THIRTY shaped card templates was a good number as well.  I will not be adding any new shaped card templates to the store after April.  If there is a shape in the future that I simply must do, I will create it and let you know.  This may not be the "end" of new shaped card templates...only making two new ones each month.  I am always open to suggestions :)

Here is a card that uses the newest free digis.  I may not bring my old "Pretty Birds" stamp set back, but I wanted to make sure that you could use the popular own if you like.  This month we are offering the owl, branch and sentiment in digital format.  I also used our Nirvana background stamp

Here are the guest designer search details:

Guest Designers will receive 2 NEW stamp sets and will have their name and projects featured here on the PS blog for 3-4 weeks (depending on how many weeks there are in the month).

You will have approx. two weeks to show us your talent!  You can submit as many projects as you like and past submissions are welcome.  Guest designers are not chosen randomly.  We will be looking for designers who stand out in one (or more) of the following categories:

  • great use of color
  • outstanding design
  • mad coloring skills
  • fun paper piecing
  • pure cleverness
You will need to use a Paper Smooches stamp or any of our FREE digi stamps.  A new digi image and sentiment will be added to the PS web site tonight.  You will find it HERE.  Past digi images and sentiments were moved to a tab at the top of this blog.  You can submit to our call with "old and new" projects...and projects that you create for our SPARKS Challenge.

The deadline is Wednesday, April 18th.  Our May guest designer will be announced on Thursday, April 19th.

Thank you for stopping by and making us a part of your day  :)

Pretties to share

Pretty Momma was such a fun set to put together.  I love girly things, so thinking up the ultimate girly images to draw was a blast.

I love how Teri used the apron - simple design that makes you go...wow that looks so easy, but so amazing.  I say that a lot when I see Teri's cards.  We are lucky to have her on our team :)

Our April guest designer is joining us today - Kimberly Lane.
You are in for a treat!  She has already sent me all of her cards and they are fantastic - ALL of them :)
This is such a soft and pretty card...it just makes me smile.

...and how COOL is this???  What a neat design!  LOVE the cross-stitching - a total swoon-worthy card.

Don't work too hard :)
I will be back tomorrow with our free digis and details for our guest designer search...can't wait!

Simply Said...

Let's start the week with two amazing cards showcasing stamps from our NEW Simply Said stamp set.  Pretty Phrases still continues to sell very well...so I thought it would be fun to create a set that consisted of smaller cursive fonts.  I love pretty words...and I hope that you do too.

Check out this soft and pretty card that Kryssi created by planning out a focal point using our Reflections stamp set.  It has a neat folk feel to it.

And if this card doesn't brighten up your day - I don't know what will.  This makes me happy :)

I hope you all enjoy your Monday.  I am glad that you stopped by :)
