OWH blog hop

Today I am joining Sandy at Operation Write Home for their Memorial Day blog hop!  Thank you Sandy for all of your incredible hard work.  You are amazing!!

“Operation Write Home, a charity that has supported heroes with handmade cards since 2007, will be closing later this year. All cards need to be sent in by August 1st, so we’re helping to get the word out!”

Please visit the OWH blog for important information regarding this fabulous charity.  There is TONS of inspiration to be seen as well!

The challenge was to use red/white/blue...I used that guideline loosely, but I incorporated those colors for sure.

Here are some of our Patriotic Paper Smooches products:

Blog Hops are more fun with giveaways, aren't they?

I will choose ONE winner from the comments below to receive this:

Please comment and let us know if you have a loved one who has served or is serving in the military.
You have until Tuesday, May 26th to comment
The winner will be announced here on Wednesday, May 27th

Thanks so much for stopping by!
xx Kim

  1. My husband did 2 tours in Vietnam and I'm sure he would have been happy to have a wonderful organization like OWH sending cards back then. They have made so many soldiers and their families a little more happiness over the years and I am sad to see them go, but happy for the soldiers returning home to their families.

  2. My dad served during WWII as a radioman on B17 bombers over Germany. He doesn't share much about his experiences, but as I talk to him about the genealogy project he passed on to me, I'm picking up little bits and pieces. My son-in-law is in the National Guard and just extended his tour again. I'm thankful for stamps that encourage and ministries like OWH who supply the cards to servicemen and -women.

Honoring his sacrifice, my cousin decided to join the military and is currently on active duty with the Navy.

We have always been strong supporters of the military and it's been an honor to have been a small part of OWH by making and sending in cards for this great organization. And a special thanks for Sandy Allnock's love, dedication and hard work over the years to make this a reality. It's certainly bittersweet that it is winding down, but you can't ask for a better reason that the need is going away!
