Happy Halloween

Just stopping by to say Happy Halloween!

Halloween Fun Facts

Jack-o’-lanterns were once made out of turnips, beets and potatoes — not pumpkins.

Originally, you had to dance for your “treat.”

In a few American towns, Halloween was originally referred to as “Cabbage Night.”

And finally, I tried making another video in my new studio... oy! It's totally different than before, but I hung in there and created two cards for the Virtual Smooches and CardMaker blog  I actually created one of the cards in 10 minutes! Click HERE to check it out!
Here's the second card I made with the scraps:)  It took a bit longer than 10 minutes! LOL!
WOW! That's a packed post! Thanks for stopping by (and reading all the way to the end! LOL!)! Have a blessed day! Sav

I used three new products from our November 2017 release.
BABY BIRDS stamp set
DECO EDGE dies
LAYERED HELLO die

The scalloped edge was created using the Deco Edge die.  I only I showed half of it peaking out from the top of my paper...the die is a row of connected rings :)

I colored the roadrunner bird and "hello" with three Copic markers.  I also used a glitter pen to add a touch of sparkle to the darker blue color.

I popped up the sentiment to add dimension.

In 1842 Abraham Lincoln was challenged to a duel by political rival, James Shields. Due to his towering height, Lincoln chose broadswords. When the day of the duel arrived Lincoln demonstrated his strength by chopping a nearby tree branch in half, causing Shields to back out and apologize.

Thanks for joining us!
