7.21 Sunday Recap

Hello, sweet friends!

Savannah O'Gwynn here to share a quick recap of this week's PS posts--- we have some extra fun things happening here!

Our new July ANYTHING GOES challenge has started- this is a PS fan favorite, as well as mine:) You can make anything you want for our challenge but be sure to use at least one PS stamp or die on your project. Details for this challenge can be found HERE.
Update on my mom's cards: Unfortunately, she will be using some of her sympathy cards sooner than we wanted. And I will have to make more to use too. My Uncle Kenny passed away a few days ago. I'll see if I can get a close up of her card when I'm visiting family up north.

I created another card for our challenge this week! This card is for a new baby, our friends are expecting baby boy #2 (he is due on my birthday!!!!). Trav and I saw this crocheted kangaroo, which is over 3 feet tall and stands up on it's own, at a store last week, and I knew I had to get it and create a matching baby card for their shower (or "sprinkle"- who knew this was such a thing!?!?!) this past weekend.
Trav helped me create this card- design elements and colors! PS stamps/dies we used include: Patternology, A Little LovinCozy Coffee dieLove Word 2 die
I hope you will join in the fun with our challenge! You could win a $15 PS gift certificate! Click HERE for more details or link up below.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

Kim has shared a fun card that she made for a magazine feature! You should check out the details HERE and then grab the magazine to see the rest of her beautiful designs!!!

That's it for me today. Be sure to stop back by for MORE inspiration, giveaways, and fun throughout the week!

Half of all US food produce is thrown away (left in the field to rot, fed to livestock or hauled directly from the field to landfill) because of unrealistic and unyielding “cosmetic food” standards.

People in Japan are renting cars, but not to drive them anywhere. Car rental companies looked into it and discovered that people were using them to take naps, eat lunch, do work, change clothes, recharge cell phones, and store things (when storage lockers at train stations weren’t available).

A car dealership ran an ad for a 1983 Cadillac stating “first 10,000 bananas takes it.” To the dealership’s surprise two brothers showed up with 10,000 bananas and won the car in a court case ruling false advertisement.

Okinawa has some of the longest living people on earth, and it has the highest rate of people over a hundred in the world. Two thirds of them are still living independently at the age of 97. Okinawans have also been found to have low rates of heart disease, stroke, cancer and diabetes. According to the article, it’s because of their diet.

7.14 Sunday Recap

Hello, sweet friends!

Savannah O'Gwynn here to share a quick recap of this week's PS posts, as well as share a photo of me with my Mom's creation for this month's challenge.

Our new July ANYTHING GOES challenge has started- this is a PS fan favorite, as well as mine:) You can make anything you want for our challenge but be sure to use at least one PS stamp or die on your project. Details for this challenge can be found HERE.
My Mom visited last week for a few days, and we were able to get crafty together. **Side note: I get all my crafty genes from her! Mom always asks for sympathy cards to keep in her stash. I decided it was time she made some of her own. We made 13 of these clean and simple sympathy cards before she left; however, we didn't get a close up photo 🤦🏼‍♀️ **Side note 2: My mom is one of 13 children. 13 is my favorite number. 13 is a bakers dozen. We just happen to make 13 cards- LOL!
This card was simple to make- it's a white background with a white die cut sentiment stitched for a bit of decoration/dimension. We added a gold die cut flower for extra design. Easy! The PS stamps/dies we used include: With Sympathy die, Dainty Flowers

I hope you will join in the fun with our challenge! You could win a $15 PS gift certificate! Click HERE for more details or link up below.

A recent study out of the University of Kansas found that it takes about 50 hours of socializing to go from acquaintance to casual friend, an additional 40 hours to become a “real” friend, and a total of 200 hours to become a close friend.

A man with a personalized license plate which read “NO PLATE” received 2500 overdue traffic tickets, because they had all been issued to various cars with no plates, and when a car marked “NO PLATE” appeared in the system, the algorithm automatically redirected those tickets to its owner.
