Hey friends

Thanks for stopping in.

I'd like to show you how versatile our Fruitastic stamp set is:

OK, so you know that the apple can be red, pink, green or yellow, the strawberry is a gimme - but, you can add the 3 open circles to it and color them yellow...obviously the lemon can be a lime, but here are some other ideas that might not slap you in the face.

There is an orange or grapefruit.  I added the circles to the orange, and I stamped the solid green leaf.

There is a peach, apricot and plum.  You can add some flock to the peach...or some white glitter maybe?

There is a little start shaped-thingy that goes on the blueberries (color them a little darker color)

Grapes are fun when you mask the circles.  (one gingham leaf is paper pieced)

You can cut off the tongue and add it to other fruit.

and the cherries are so easy to make

The sentiments that can be made with this set are:
You are:
   totally sweet
   a peach
   berry special
Pucker up

I admit that I made the lips to use an accent, but I didn't know how great they looked on the frog until I was playing with the stamps - eeeeek, how fun!!!  Looking at her now, I wish I drew eyelashes on her (maybe next time).  The crown also looks great on the elephant from this "A Little Lovin" stamp

Ahhh, how I wish these were real video tutorials.  I have to get my son to help me.  I admit that I am a but intimidated by the presentation of videos out there, but I swear that I am going to tackle it.  Until then, I hope these mini-tutes are ok while you wait for me to "get my act" together.

Here's a simple card using pom poms for his spots.
Have a wonderful weekend!!

woohooo August stamps release today!

I mentioned yesterday that our release day would be earlier than usual (it's TODAY).  I am SO excited about this release!!

A Little Lovin'

Our third stamp set is called "Fruitastic".  As soon as I created "Vegtastic" I knew that I would have to draw some fun fruits and I had a blast!  I think they are perfect timing for summer!

This set includes SO MANY fruits!  Orange, grapefruit, strawberry, grape, blueberry, cherry, apple, lime, lemon, banana, peach, apricot, plum - seriously, they are all on ONE stamp set!

Here is a sample that Teri created using Fruitastic:

This card makes me chuckle.  Teri paper pieced the lips and tongue, it adds the perfect dimension!  You are - totally - sweet are separate words so that you can piece them together as you like to use with multiple fruits!

Today is our last day with Jenny Mullins (I'm so sad about that)
Of course she knocked another card out of the park!
She made a "grinch dog" using the kelp and from "Surf and Turf", the cherry from "Sugar Rush and the bag is made from the seagull wing - WOW!

Jenny, it was an absolute pleasure, we will continue to stalk your blog for more extra-creative Paper Smooches creations!  Thank you for being our guest.

We hope you will join us for our blog hop tomorrow.  On Friday I will share some ideas of how to use 2 of our stamp sets to their potential.  Please pop in when you can.

Thank you so much for making us a part of your day

We have a surprise for you...

We are releasing our August stamps TOMORROW (July 27) at midnight MT

The reason:

My husband and I are traveling back to NY for my Aunt's wedding and my family reunion from this Friday through August 2nd.  Our computer option is sketchy at best.  We are staying with my Grandma (in the boonies) on release night and well, she has a grey box that she calls a computer.  As if dial up isn't scary enough, there is no way she has a router or modem both of which are fairly new to me - my Gram would probably guess that they are plumming parts, so we just can't risk it.  My laptop needs to stay home so that my Mother in Law can fill orders while we are gone.

We could make orders wait to ship on August 3rd, but I just can't do it...I would hate to make you wait, ack!  My MIL will step in on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, but I didn't want her to be bombarded with orders, so we felt that it was best to release them early.

Pep Rally week will continue and our DT Blog Hop is still scheduled for this Thursday.

. . . Back to our regularly schedules post :)

I have had tons of requests for an ALPHABET - so I thought it was the perfect time to release one :)

The second set is called "Alphadot".  It's an alphabet and number set with some punctuation and some "dots" to use as a pattern.  They are small but are super fun to play with :)

UMMM, WOW!!!  I am IN LOVE with this card!!  I am not sure if Laurie stamped each work on one block each time or stamped each letter separately, but it looks freaking amazing!!

Heather's stamping is perfect too - which makes me so happy to see.  I adore this shaped card - and it's great for anyone at any age, LOVE that!!

Please join us tomorrow for some more card samples and a hint to our last August stamp set.
Thank you so much for stopping by :)

woohoooo, it's PEP RALLY week!

First, lets's start with the winner of the PS/EAD blog hop from Friday.

The winner is . . .

Congratulations!  Please e-mail your stamp set choice along with your address to

The first new stamp set that we are sharing with you today is called "A Little Lovin".  I had love and babies in mind when I created it. so it includes both themes along with images that work well on their own as well.

More info to come (wink)

Kryssi used my favorite image in the set . . .a mamma and baby elephant.  She is surely showing her baby a "little lovin".  She glittered the moon and used a polka dot stamp comes form another stamp set, which I will tell you more about tomorrow.

Heidi used one of the other main images - and boy did she do him justice!  I love the gold crown.  The "hopping springs" is not a stamp, she created those with a pen.  Isn't this just a super FUN card???

what do you think of our first August sneak peek???

PS August Guest Designer is

Alison Spellman

CONGRATULATIONS!!  You are our August guest designer and this is the card that make me go OH-EM-GEE!  (actually I had the same reaction to many of your cards, but this one gave me the HUGEST smile)

What I love is how freaking playful this card is!  I love that she combined a zillion PS stamp sets! Surf and Turf (waves, pelican, crabs), Hang Ups (suns rays), Chubby Chums (sentiment).  Sugar Rush (sand castle), Boob Tubes (sun shape) The only thing NOT stamped is the shore line...WOW!!!

SERIOUSLY - Each month gets harder to choose!  I went back and forth between at least 5 cards...sat back...sighed at such creativity...looked at all of the entries again and just smiled at the talent that surrounds me.  I am SO impressed with your creativity.  :)  I want you to keep submitting because I can see SO MANY of you as becoming our guest!  You can keep submitting the same cards - please don't give up, ok?

THANK YOU so much for entering our search, you are all amazing!  I am reallllly look forward to our September guest designer search - details will be posted on August 4th.

Super Sweet!

My teeth ache just looking at these deliciously sweet cards!

Jenny changed up our cart shaped card template to be a grocery cart - cool huh?  Just look at all of the sweet treats she added to the card using our Sugar Rush stamp set!  Did you notice the "go faster" puffs?  She made them from the soda fountain drink image.  What a YUMMY card!!

Ahhhhh, what a refreshing card this is!  It makes me want to have some ice cream :)  The baker's twine strips add a great touch to this well designed card.  I love the added bling and marker accents.  GREAT card!!

Tonight is the deadline to get your guest designer entries in.  The details are HERE

Our guest will be announced tomorrow :)

Hey GILLfriend

Heather and Laurie created two totally different card with our GILLfriend  sentiment and our Surf and Turf stamp set.  It's a quirky set, but oh' so fun! :)

This tag is such sweetness!  I always drool over Heather's bows.  LOVE the bling bubbles and the cool shape of her tag!

How wonderful that Laurie can take cute images and make them classic by distress them.  Did you notice her custom patterned paper base?

(grin) taking a closer look, I see that both girls used a scalloped circle to accentuate their fish.  Both cards use a similar color palette too.  cute!

Have a great day GILLfriends

Happy Monday!

Our August guest designer search is ON...if you haven't seen, the details are HERE.  The deadline is THIS Wednesday :)

We are hosting a monthly challenge...details are HERE.  The deadline is Aug. 3rd.  You do not need to make a project to win.  You can always find the details link when you click on the "Sparks challenge" button on the left side of this blog.

I am not sure if you noticed our "face lift".  A sweet gal suggested that I added some tabs under our banner.  She explained how easy it was, so I gave it a try.  I am glad I did!  I think our little features are easier to find now.  If you like somehting better the way it was, please let me know.

Santa think of Christmas, right?

. . . you won't after you see these gems:

What a great birthday card for literally anyone in your life!  I LOVE Heidi's paper choices.  check out the frayed grass and her perfect fussy cutting...GREAT card!!  Did you notice that she curved the sentiment?

(chuckle) this card cracks me up!  Is it a grandpa surfing in his jammies?  or Santa taking a vaca?  All I know is that it's pure silliness, and I adore this little creation :)

Enjoy your week friends

can you see

outside the box when you look at stamp sets?
I thought I'd share some samples of how to utilize a few of our sets in ways that you may not have thought of.

First up - Hang Ups

Here are some clever uses for this set:

Draw a string with a ruler and draw little loops with a black pen

And . . . Swanky Snowdudes

Here are some ways to use those tiny accents:

Why not use a flower pot template to make

. . . a to-go cup!

The tiny cup is from Perky Plants and the sentiment is from Vegtastic

Thank you for stopping by!  Enjoy your weekend (hope you have some time to stamp!)

The PS Patrol

woohoooo, here we are again on the second Thursday, showing off some Paper Smooches projects that found while patroling the net!  Post your projects on your blog, Facebook, and our Fan Flickr page for a chance to be showcased here!

Ummmm, this is one of those "shut the front door" kind of cards.  Emily's card give me chills, seriously...I LOVE this card!!!
I am guessing this is a flat card, but it has SO MUCH dimension!  Wow,  check out her HAND-DRAWN background...oh-em-geee.  GREAT card Marie!
I am always looking for birthday card ideas and this one stole my heart!  Holy cute dollar shirt!!  I just want to make one and hold it in my hand, LOL.  I love that she kept it simple and made the shirt do all the work!
Way to use a stamp set girlfriend!  How cool that she created a background of sentiments!!  That chick seems thrilled to be a graduate.  I adore this darling card!

Anika Lerche
I am instantly drawn to this fabulous color combination, but there are so many elements that inspire me!  I love how Anika combined so many stamps...and how can you not love a red polka dot TV?  GREAT card!!!

Thank you for sharing your talent with us!  It's a pleasure to show off your talent!

You could be next.  Show off those PS cards and we may find yours too!

These will surely. . .

brighten up your day -

EEEEk!  I adore Teri's card!  That perfectly placed patterned paper to act as the sun's rays and the curvy water is soooo wonderful!  What a cheerful card this is (grin)

As expected,  Jenny created a stinkin' ADORABLE card  for us to share with you today.  Who else is thinking about the slinky dog from "Toy Story"?  She used wire to create the coils, and she used sentiments and hearts from a few different sets.

Tomorrow we are sharing FIVE cards that have WOWED us this month...they are jaw droppers friends.  Hope you join us.

Have a creative day!

who can't use a few bucks?

It seems that cash or a gift card is truly appreciated by kids...which makes gift-giving easier - love that!

Laurie's shabby vintage card is so cool.  Blue reindeer, who would've thunk it?  Not me, but I sure do adore them :)

what a GREAT money holder!!

Ahhh, these colors scream Christmas...and I love them even without the holiday boost.  That embossed polka dot paper adds the perfect texture and interest.  What a truly FABULOUS card!!

Tomorrow I get to share another sweet card from Teri and our guest, Jenny - check back ok?

I could use a SUGAR RUSH...

how about you?

sigh, how I wish that real life glittery sprinkles existed.  I am sure they would taste wonderful :)  I love the paper pieced Neapolitan flavored ice cream that Kyrssi created.  I could go for one of those right now...yummmm.  Her sentiment treatment is just divine!!

Heidi cut out a bagillion candies to make this fabulous wreath - WOW!!    I want to pop those glittery gum drops in my mouth!  Not only is this is a ridiculously clever card, but it's designed beautifully :)

Hope your day is EXTRA sweet!

Some CASual Fun planned today

Paper Smooches is a sponsor of CASual Friday's challenge blog this week.  We love that sweet blog and their talented designers!  We are giving away some shaped card templates for a prize.

Hopefully they don't freak you out!  I am a fussy cutting fool, so it's a kick in the pants for me.  They are not as hard to cut as you may think.  It might be a fun project to share with your kids this summer?

You can see all of our shaped card templates HERE

All the personality you need is always included in the template...very little needs to be done to them to make them super cute!

I usually use the back side of the template.  The cut side is seen on the inside and back, but you can cut that line off completely.  Remember that die cutting machines work beautifully with our templates.

I made a new logo for you to use on your blog is you like.  I am soooo NOT computer savvy, so I am pretty darn excited that it looks pretty good.  Did you know that our whole web site, including the front page is made from paper?   That little shipping truck is a miniature paper piecing from card stock.

enjoy your weekend :)

Please welcome...

Jenny Mullens - our July guest designer!

She is a designer that makes me scratch my head - in a good way.  I really get a kick out of her pure creativity.  It's obvious that she truly enjoys the creative process and has an "outside the box" attitude...LOVE that!

What grabbed our attention is the clever way she combines stamp sets to make something completely new.  Jenny used the fins from the beta fish and added them to the ice cream top of the ice cream cone from our Sugar Rush stamp set to make a jellyfish (I think it can also be an octopus).  Then she added some extra kelp to her's the flame from Spiffy Scooters.  The seagull was used to make the waves, yeah, wow.

Setting the creativity aside, she can also deliver a wonderfully designed card!

ahhhh, this card makes me grin.  I love Teri's primary colored Christmas card - soooo FUN!  I was thrilled to see such a cute card using the mouse from our Santa Paws set.  CUTE!!!

Tomorrow our FREE digi goes live . . . and our August guest designer search begins.  I LOVE this time of the month!!

Enjoy your day friends

We made an exciting decision yesterday to start accepting wholesale accounts.  wooohoooo!!  We are finishing up with some final details but we will be ready to move forward very soon.  Once we are completely ready, I will make an announcement here and on Facebook/Twitter.  We had a TON of inquiries within the first week of our opening, but we just weren't ready.  It was important for us to get to know all of you and give you 100% of our attention for the first 6 months...we have the BEST customers around!!  Thank you endlessly for your support and friendship.

I have always loved this color combo.  Olive a masculine color that becomes instantly feminine with a touch of pink!  I also love the look of color on color with ink.  Heather created a perfect balance of white space...well done :)

Check our this delicious card, I am not kidding, it looks good enough to eat!  Laurie's texture always blows me away . . . isn't this card just plain fun to look at?   Yummmmm

I will be back tomorrow to share a card from Teri and our July guest designer...Jenny - can't wait to share their creativity with you!

Thank you for stopping by :)
