ReplyDeleteyes, I do use sketches to design my projects. I think it really helps the creative process by channelizing one's creative flow. Having a sketch to follow kind of narrows it down for me and since that is sorted I then concentrate on other elements like stamps, grouping the images, color combos etc.

ReplyDeleteI like sketches; however, when they add color restrictions and subject matter too, well, I just can't keep track of that many restrictions and get lost along the way. ReplyDeleteYay! I don't necessarily look for a sketch when I am creating a card from scratch, but I LOVE to make cards using a sketch when it is a challenge! I love to twist the sketch and often make several different variations of the same sketch :)

ReplyDeleteI have used simple sketches but for some reason I feel confined? Restricted? Then I break out in hives. It's like "Thou shalt color within the lines using only primary colors, y'hear?" Then the itching starts. But I'm willing to take a Benadryl and give it a try again.
