Francis Coppola was worried his film Apocalypse Now would be a box office flop and could bankrupt him, so he decided to quickly make a happy musical to recoup his losses. In the end Apocalypse Now was a success, but the happy musical (One From the Heart) was a disaster and bankrupted him anyway.

Astronauts lose as much as 22% of their blood while in space, as a reaction to the uniform blood pressure caused by micro-gravity. Until their body replaces this blood, many returning astronauts can’t stand for more than a few minutes without fainting.

Here's my creation. I was inspired by a couple of things... and one was incorrect! LOL! I liked the graphic design on the gray square so I used lined pattered paper as my background. Then I really liked how there was a fox in a box. I put a deer in my box:) I loved the yellow mustard color... mine is more yellow orange. My mistake...well, I thought the hair pin had LEAVES on it 🤦🏼‍♀️ It has flowers! LOL!
I hope you will join in the fun--- you could WIN a $15 PS gift certificate!!! Click HERE for more details or link up below.

That's it for me today! I hope you will stop back by for more from the PS design team, as well as another challenge that starts in just a few days!

Thanks for stopping by! Many blessings! Sav ❤️

About 1/3 of new cars no longer come with a spare tire. While some have run-flat tires, having no spare tires decreases weight and increases fuel economy and also quietly saves car companies millions of dollars a year.

Ants are self aware. In an experiment researchers painted blue dots onto ants bodies, and presented them with a mirror. 23 out of 24 tried scratching the dot, indicating that the ants could see the dots on themselves.

Botswana’s currency is named Pula which literally means “rain” in their official language. This is because rain is very scarce in Botswana — home to much of the Kalahari Desert — and therefore valuable and a blessing.

Back in 1985, city officials in St. Louis decided that the term ‘bus stop’ sounded too negative, so they voted to rename them ‘bus starts.’ 1800 new ‘bus start’ signs were duly installed. A year-and-a-half later, when it became clear that people were confused by what a ‘bus start’ was supposed to be, the city conceded defeat and went back to using the traditional term. This, of course, meant buying even more new signs.

In the United States the reason voting takes place on a Tuesday is in 1845 it could take rural farmers up to a day of travelling by horse and cart to get to a voting station. Wednesday was typically market day and Sunday was the Biblical Sabbath so Tuesday was chosen to allow ample travel time.

The bell on early cash registers (circa 1884) is not marketing. It’s the reason why prices like $1.99 rather than $2.00 exist. The 1¢ change back to the customer forced the cashier to open the till, ringing the bell, and make change. Otherwise the sale could more easily be pocketed by the clerk.
