Surgeons removed 27 contact lenses from a 67-year-old woman’s eye. She’s quoted to have thought that the discomfort was just a part of aging. After an initial “lump” of 17 lenses was removed during prep for cataract surgery, 10 more were discovered.

14 of the 60 residents of the village of New Rome, Ohio were police officers. The police department’s only purpose was issuing traffic tickets, and they brought in around $400,000 a year, mostly by citing drivers for things such as improperly tinted windows. The town was dissolved in 2004.

Hellllllo, friends! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Savannah O'Gwynn here to share a quick post with the most recent happenings for Paper Smooches. It was a simple week that consisted of our challenge (details below) and inspiration from our PS DT! Be sure to scroll down to check out these beautiful creations ❤️ 

Our current challenge for March 2019 is all about BIRTHDAYS!!!! Create anything for a birthday- cards, party decor, banners, gift tags, invites, etc.  Photo Credit: Brooke Lark
I finally had some time to play in the studio- after I missed 5 birthdays this month! LOL! I created a CAS card that was inspired by Julie Ebersole (October 2017). This card has a simple design using only 3 PS stamps and dies!!!
I used the following PS stamps/dies: Birthday Bash, Polka Dot Borders dies, and Feather Frame die.

During the 1936 Berlin Olympics, two Japanese pole vaulters who tied for second place refused to participate in a tie-breaker. Upon returning to Japan, they cut their medals in half and fused them to one another so each athlete ended up with a half-silver, half-bronze medal.

A 4 year old boy fell and scraped his knee at the beach. Couple of weeks later a black bump started growing on his knee. When squeezed, a live snail emerged from the bump. The boy adopted the snail and named it “Turbo” after his favorite cartoon character.
