In order to prevent tourists from stealing their beer glasses, some bars in Belgium require people to hand over one of their shoes as a deposit which is then put in a basket and hung from the ceiling. This shoes basket has also become an attraction.

The terms “upper case” and “lower case” originated from the common layouts of drawers, called cases, used to hold movable type for letterpress printing. Capitol (or majuscule) letters were stored in the upper case; smaller (or minuscule) letters, in the lower case.

In 2012 a 22-year-old man on a business trip sent a wrong-number text to a woman 30 years older; she replied that she’d like to hang out anyway. They went to a concert together, started dating, got married, and in 2019 she needed a kidney transplant and he donated his kidney to her.

Sylvester Stallone was not the actor that the producers wanted to star in ‘Rocky’. With just $106 in his bank account, Stallone turned down a $300,000 offer — the equivalent of $1 million today — for the rights to ‘Rocky’ so he could star in the film himself.

And don't forget to join in the fun with our August DOUBLE challenge- SCHOOL + WORDS! I couldn't decide which challenge to use so I am letting you pick:)

  • School- create any project with a school theme for your project OR
  • Words- use any sentiment on your project OR
  • COMBINE both challenges;)
I created this card for the August release but never sent Kim my photos 🤦🏼‍♀️ Soooooo, I'm going to use it for the August challenge #winwin :)  I love Kim's Hot Dots stencil- it's prefect for backgrounds (large polka dots) and little details (smaller polka dots). This is fun little layered birthday card that can be used for anyone special! [PS stamps/dies/stencils used: Sweet Succulent, Hot Dots stencil, Butterfly Duet dies, Frames 5 dies]
