When America’s first rocket scientist, Robert Goddard, theorized that rockets could reach the moon, the New York Times harshly criticized him and wrote that he “lacked the knowledge ladled out daily in high schools.” 49 years later, Apollo 11 succeeded and the NYT published a retraction.

Jules Verne’s wrote a novel in 1863 which predicted gas-powered cars, fax machines, wind power, missiles, electric street lighting, maglev trains, the record industry, the internet, and feminism. It was lost for over 100 years after his publisher deemed it too unbelievable to publish.

When a painting was stolen from the Museum of Bad Art, the museum initially offered a reward of $6.50 for its return. This was latter upped to $36.73. Ten years later, the thief contacted the museum and demanded a $5000 ransom for the painting. No ransom was paid, but it was returned anyway.

Hello friends
I am going to a craft retreat on Friday through Monday. Orders will not ship during this time.
Orders placed on Oct. 18, 19, 20, 21 will ship on Tuesday, October 22.
My daughter would normally step in for me to fill orders but her hands are full with her toddler and infant twins (they are three weeks old)

I appreciate your patience while I am away getting some much needed craft time with friends.

I will fill orders until Thursday night.

Celebrities have to pay $30k for their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They must sign a form stating that they want a star and that they will attend the unveiling of it. Celebrities Julia Roberts, Clint Eastwood, Denzel Washington, and Al Pacino still
don’t have a star.

Mario Puzo, the author of the Godfather books who’d also adapted them to film, had no idea what he was doing as ’d never written a screenplay before. After winning two Oscars, he decided to buy a book on screenwriting to learn how. In the first chapter, it said “Study Godfather I”.

Today I am sharing some cards using the new ESSENTIAL STENCIL that releases tomorrow :)

Just some ideas but there is so much more that you can do with this fun stencil!

...and a peek at the new SPREADING JOY stamp set and JOY DIES (releasing tomorrow)
I inked up the card stock with the stencil and then die cut JOY from that paper. I popped up the letters with foam squares. I used painters take to mask off sections where I wanted to protect my paper.

...and a peek at the new LAURELS DIES and JOY DIES (releasing tomorrow)
I colored the letters with a Copic marker

smooches,
Kim
